President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in the Kremlin.
The Turkish diplomat arrived in Russia for a three-day working visit, which will last from May 25 to 27. The visit took place at the personal invitation of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov.
According to diplomatic sources, on May 27, the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries will hold official negotiations, during which they will examine in detail the development of the situation after the negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine held in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the ministers also plan to discuss possible timeframes for the next round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
