PKK will lay down arms today

Historic moment: the disarmament process within the framework of the "Turkey without terrorism" initiative starts today following calls from the country's top leadership

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Haber Global, today the terrorist organization Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) begins the long-awaited process of surrendering weapons.

All public attention is focused on the upcoming event in Northern Iraq, where a group of PKK militants will officially lay down their arms, marking the beginning of a new stage in the history of the region.

This landmark step is scheduled for Friday and will take place in a classified location in the Sulaymaniyah area. According to available information, a group of 20-30 PKK militants will not only surrender their weapons but also leave the region. Representatives of the PKK leadership and the Kurdistan Communities Union will also join the disarmament process.
