Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei appointed a new interim Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces
As reported by TUT.AZ, according to information from the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Habibollah Sayyari has been appointed to the post of interim head of the General Staff of the country's Armed Forces.
In addition, Major General Ahmad Vahidi has been appointed as the new commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Recall that earlier there were reports about the death of the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri as a result of Israel's attack on the Iranian capital. During these same strikes, the IRGC Commander-in-Chief of Iran, Major General Hossein Salami, was also killed.
