Manukyan noted that, in his opinion, the singer's arrival may cause a mixed public reaction:

"She may come to Russia only to make a pointed statement. 'New Wave' is a high-status event, and her participation will cause a mixed reaction."

He also emphasized that from a legal standpoint, Pugacheva has no restrictions on returning to the country. At the same time, he believes that her possible participation would be a "bad signal".
