39 suspects with ISIS links detained in Turkey during large-scale special operation
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to AZERTAJ, Turkish security forces conducted a large-scale anti-terrorist operation across 18 provinces of the country. Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya personally announced the results of the special operation, which covered major regions such as Adana, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Istanbul, and Bursa.
According to the Interior Minister, the detained individuals were actively financing structures affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS, as well as conducting active propaganda on social media, spreading extremist ideology.
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized a significant amount of prohibited literature and electronic devices containing terrorist materials.
The Minister expressed special gratitude to the provincial governors and prosecution authorities for the effective coordination of the two-week operation.
Ali Yerlikaya emphasized that the fight against the terrorist threat will continue without interruption.
