Hacker group linked to Israel destroyed data belonging to an Iranian bank

Hackers, allegedly linked to Israel, claimed to have destroyed data of an Iranian bank under US sanctions

As reported by TUT.AZ, citing The Times of Israel, a hacker group carried out a large-scale cyberattack on an Iranian financial institution.

The group "Gonjeshke Darande" (translated as "predatory sparrow") announced a successful operation against Sepah Bank, which resulted in the complete destruction of the financial institution's data.

"Sepah Bank was an institution that circumvented international sanctions and used the money of the Iranian people to finance Iran's terrorist proxies, its ballistic missile program, and military nuclear program," the hackers stated in their account on the social network X. "We thank the brave Iranians whose help made this operation possible."

According to information from social media, Sepah Bank's services stopped functioning this morning, which indirectly confirms the hacker group's claims.
