Unsuccessful joke: elderly passenger removed from flight in Indonesia for bomb remarks
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Daily Mail, the incident occurred at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta.
According to the information, the passenger carelessly joked about having a bomb in her bag and was immediately removed from the Batik Air plane just minutes before takeoff.
Footage from the scene shows the woman calmly collecting her belongings and leaving the aircraft under the supervision of aviation security personnel. She did not resist and followed the staff's instructions. Other passengers remained in their seats during the evacuation of the offender.
It is reported that the crew followed standard protocol - pilots were informed about the incident, and security conducted a thorough inspection. No dangerous items were found on the passenger, but she was still removed from the flight.
The plane's departure was delayed by two hours. A Batik Air representative confirmed that the woman was blacklisted by the airline for "a statement containing an element of threat."
