The Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, was presumably killed in an Israeli strike on Iran.

This was reported by the authoritative Reuters agency, citing an informed source.

It is noted that other high-ranking members of the General Staff, as well as leading nuclear scientists, may also have been killed as a result of Israel's rapid attack.

In turn, the Iranian publication SNN does not rule out that the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, was killed as a result of the strikes. The Tasnim agency confirmed the information about his death, but there have been no official statements from the Iranian government yet.
