British man tells how he miraculously avoided flight on crashed plane in India

British businessman miraculously avoided an air disaster in India by canceling his ticket at the last moment. His seat was taken by the only survivor of the tragedy. He revealed the details in an interview with The Sun newspaper.

The man was on a business trip in India and was supposed to fly to London on June 12. But at the last moment, colleagues advised him to reschedule his flight to the same route, just on June 14 due to a tight schedule. By coincidence, seat 11A by the emergency exit was booked for the businessman - the same seat where the only survivor of the June 12 air disaster was sitting.

"It's a shock. Such a strange coincidence... I'm very grateful that I made this decision at that time," said the Briton.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner passenger plane crashed on June 12 near the city of Ahmedabad. According to Air India, which operated the flight, there were 242 people on board. Only one person managed to survive.
