Earthquake with magnitude 3.9 shook popular tourist area in Turkey

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey (AFAD) recorded underground tremors in the resort area of Serik in Antalya province.

According to official data, the earthquake occurred at 17:43 local time (18:43 Baku time), causing local residents and tourists to feel vibrations of the earth's surface.

AFAD specialists noted that the epicenter of the underground tremors was at an impressive depth — 94 kilometers, which could have reduced the potential destructive consequences for the popular resort region.
