Revolutionary discovery: button mushrooms showed powerful anti-cancer potential in a study by leading US cancer center. California scientists from City of Hope have found that common mushrooms could become an important ally in the fight against malignant tumors.
The scientific team discovered that button mushrooms contain special polysaccharides, including β-glucans, which actively stimulate the body's defensive forces. Laboratory studies on mice brought remarkable results: significant enhancement of immune response and considerable increase in T-lymphocyte activity were recorded.
Further human trials confirmed the discovery's promise. In a group of eight patients with prostate cancer, significant improvements in immune system function were observed, which fully aligns with the results of preclinical studies.
The combination of mushroom extract with modern immunotherapy methods proved to be most effective. Patients receiving such combined treatment showed higher survival rates and therapy success.
Scientists emphasize the need for a balanced approach and strongly recommend consulting with a treating physician before consuming mushrooms. Research in this promising direction actively continues.
