Scientists have discovered a drug capable of extending life

Sensational discovery: "rapamycin" may become the key to longevity. A large-scale British study, covering 167 experiments on 8 animal species from fish to primates, showed impressive results.

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to trt haber, scientists have concluded that rapamycin can extend life with efficiency comparable to dietary restriction. Meanwhile, another studied drug "metformin" showed less significant results.

"Rapamycin," discovered in the 1970s on the mysterious Easter Island, is actively used in medicine today for organ transplantation.

Scientific studies have confirmed the drug's ability to slow down aging processes, however, specialists warn about possible side effects. Clinical trials on humans using low doses of the drug are currently ongoing.

The main goal of researchers remains unchanged - to provide humanity with a longer and healthier life without strict dietary restrictions.
