As reported by TUT.AZ, dietitians and medical experts warn about the special danger of reheating rice. When cooked rice is stored at room temperature for several hours, Bacillus cereus bacteria begin to multiply actively in it. The treacherous aspect of this situation is that the toxins of these bacteria remain active even after reheating the dish, which can cause serious food poisoning with symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea.
For safety, specialists strongly recommend storing cooked rice in the refrigerator for no longer than 24 hours and reheating it only once.
