Well-known cardiologist Aurelio Rojas issued an important warning for millions of people who regularly use ibuprofen - one of the most common pain relievers that can be found in almost every home medicine cabinet. In an interview with Vanitatis, the doctor listed conditions in which taking this medication can be dangerous to health.

According to Rojas, first of all, patients with uncontrolled hypertension should avoid ibuprofen. The specialist named dehydration as the second serious contraindication. The third dangerous condition incompatible with taking this medication is alcoholism.

The cardiologist also strongly recommended abstaining from taking ibuprofen before intense physical activity. In conclusion, Rojas emphasized that even absolutely healthy people are not recommended to take this medication for more than three consecutive days without prior consultation with a doctor.
