A 101-year-old American woman named the simple habit that she believes has been the key to her longevity.
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to foreign media, U.S. resident Norma Swan, born on July 1, 1925, celebrated her 101st birthday in truly spectacular fashion. The celebration was held at the Ogemaw city library, and its theme was the legendary cartoon "101 Dalmatians." The birthday woman's family spent nearly an entire year preparing for the themed party.
The centenarian's daughter, Linda Romblom, shared that her mother's defining trait is a deep and sincere gratitude for everything life gives her. Norma invariably ends each day with a prayer in which she thanks the Lord for the blessings bestowed upon her.
Family and friends add that the birthday woman has always known how to find the bright side even in the most difficult circumstances and never allowed hardships to take away her optimism.
Norma Swan herself is convinced that the secret to her longevity lies in constant physical activity. The American woman admits that she never tolerated idleness, spent a great deal of time working outdoors, and believes that it is precisely movement, sunlight, and life in nature that helped her maintain her health and vitality. Foreign experts confirm that this kind of lifestyle is indeed often cited as one of the most important factors in active longevity.
