As reported by TUT.AZ, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, stated on The Breakfast Show program about the principled position of the Ukrainian side regarding the upcoming negotiations.

He emphasized that Kyiv considers negotiations at any level below presidential to be absolutely unpromising. According to Podolyak, it is critically important for the Ukrainian side to discuss key issues related to the conflict directly with the Russian leader.

The meeting in Istanbul is scheduled for May 15, however, there has been no official confirmation of Vladimir Putin's participation from the Kremlin yet.
