British woman discovered her pregnancy and gave birth to a son in just 17 hours
Changes in her life began when during an appointment with a therapist about gluten sensitivity, she was unexpectedly offered to take a pregnancy test. The result was positive, but the doctor assessed the pregnancy as too early for obvious symptoms. However, after an unscheduled ultrasound scheduled the same day, it was discovered that she was 38 weeks pregnant.
During the examination, doctors also found a problem with the placenta, which required labor induction. Shortly after hospitalization, Charlotte gave birth to a boy. According to Summers, she continued taking contraceptives throughout her pregnancy and even experienced bleeding that resembled menstruation. The girl also attributes the absence of obvious symptoms to the anterior placement of the placenta, which could have masked signs of pregnancy.
After the story became public, some users accused Charlotte of deception. In response, she published official hospital documents, including a diagnosis of "cryptic pregnancy," as well as records of ultrasound and childbirth.
Now Charlotte and her partner are happy in their new role as parents. The young mother admits: despite the chaotic beginning, she and the baby are healthy and content with life.
