The US believes that the leaders of Russia and Ukraine are not ready to end the military conflict
As Report informs, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt made an important statement during a press briefing.
"Putin and Zelensky are not ready to end this war on their own. Trump will make additional statements on this matter later," she emphasized.
According to Levitt, US President Donald Trump "was neither pleased" with the strikes on Kyiv, nor surprised by them, and continues to closely monitor the development of the situation.
The White House issued a statement simultaneously with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The latter reported that the meeting between Putin and Zelensky, which Trump had informed about preparing after the summit with the Russian leader in Alaska, will not take place.
