US reported elimination of one of ISIS leaders

US Armed Forces eliminated a high-ranking ISIS leader during a special operation in Syria, reports TUT.AZ citing TASS and a statement from the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

The lightning-fast operation was conducted in the area of El-Bab city in northern Syria. As a result of the precision strike, not only one of the key leaders of the terrorist group "Islamic State" was eliminated, but also his two sons, who were also actively involved in the activities of the terrorist organization. According to CENTCOM information, the eliminated militants posed a serious threat to the security of the United States, the international coalition, and the emerging Syrian government.

"We will continue to relentlessly pursue ISIS fighters in any corner of the world," said command chief General Michael Kurilla. He emphasized that the US, together with its allies, will remain committed to the fight until the complete destruction of ISIS and neutralization of threats emanating from it.
