US President Donald Trump strongly refuted The Wall Street Journal's publication about plans to attack Iran. In his account on the Truth Social network, the White House head emotionally stated: "The Wall Street Journal has no idea what I think about Iran!"
The day before, on June 18, the influential American publication released an article claiming that Trump had allegedly approved a plan for a possible military operation against Iran, although the final order to begin actions has not yet been signed. According to the newspaper, the American leader expects that the threat of joint strikes with Israel could force Tehran to abandon its nuclear program and accept American conditions.
A high-ranking source in the president's administration, who wished to remain anonymous, told press representatives that Trump is closely monitoring the progress of Israel's military campaign and is considering "various scenarios" for United States actions, including the possibility of complete non-interference in the conflict.
On Wednesday, during a conversation with journalists at the White House, the US president confirmed that the final decision on striking Iran is still under discussion. Trump also did not rule out the possibility of political changes in the Islamic republic.
