Trump does not rule out holding a trilateral meeting with Putin and Zelensky

US President Donald Trump announced his readiness to organize a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to TASS, the American leader shared this information while speaking with press representatives on the South Lawn of the White House.

"It will happen. But it should have happened three months ago," Trump emphasized, answering a question about a possible meeting with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Note that on July 23, the third round of direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on conflict resolution took place in Istanbul. Before the main part of the meeting, the heads of delegations - Vladimir Medinsky and Rustem Umerov - held a personal conversation. The full-format negotiations lasted about 40 minutes, during which the parties discussed proposals contained in the draft memorandums.

As a result of the meeting, participants reached agreements on the mutual exchange of prisoners of war and civilians. The Russian side initiated the creation of three online groups to discuss political, military, and humanitarian aspects. In addition, Moscow expressed readiness to transfer another 3,000 bodies of fallen servicemen to the Ukrainian side and proposed resuming brief humanitarian pauses on the line of contact for the evacuation of the wounded and dead.

According to Vladimir Medinsky, the decision to hold a fourth round of negotiations will be made after the implementation of the agreements already reached.
