The historic disarmament process within the framework of the large-scale "Turkey Without Terrorism" initiative, launched at the call of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli in October 2024 and supported by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with his message "Let's Strengthen the Internal Front," will begin in just a few hours.

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Haber Global, today the terrorist organization Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) will begin surrendering weapons.

It is noted that all public attention is now focused on the upcoming moment when a group of PKK militants in Northern Iraq will officially lay down their arms.

This landmark step will be carried out on Friday at a classified location in the Sulaymaniyah area. A group of 20-30 PKK militants will surrender their weapons and leave the region. Simultaneously, high-ranking representatives of the PKK leadership and the Kurdistan Communities Union will also lay down their arms.
