Russia announces a four-day ceasefire in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory by Putin's decision

By decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, based on humanitarian considerations, during the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory - from 00:00 hours on May 7 to 00:00 hours on May 11 - the Russian side announces a ceasefire, according to Russian media.

All combat operations will stop during this period. Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example.

It is noted that in case of violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will give an adequate and effective response.

The Russian side once again declares its readiness for peace negotiations without preconditions, aimed at eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis, and constructive interaction with international partners.
