NATO and European Union Information Center to Close in Georgia

Georgia closes NATO and EU Information Center from July 1

It has become known that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has decided to terminate the operation of the Information Center on NATO and European Union issues. According to kommersant.ru, from July 1, all functions of the center will be transferred to the relevant department within the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This information was officially confirmed by the representative of the foreign policy department Temo Sukashvili.

It is worth noting that the NATO and EU Information Center being liquidated has been functioning in the country since 2005 and was established by a special decree of the then President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili as an independent institution.
