More than 1500 Russians are stranded in Turkey due to mass cancellations of flights to Moscow
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the Mash Telegram channel, major Turkish airlines Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines were forced to cancel 31 flights between Moscow and Turkey scheduled for May 8, as well as eight overnight flights that were supposed to operate on May 9.
It is reported that passengers of four canceled flights to the Russian capital were temporarily accommodated in comfortable five-star hotels with full board.
On May 8, representatives of Rosaviatsia (Russian Federal Air Transport Agency) issued a statement that the situation with Turkish Airlines and other foreign airlines is expected to normalize in the near future.
