Media: Elon Musk and Scott Bessent yelled at each other in the White House

The head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk and the country's Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had a loud altercation within the walls of the White House.

As reported by TUT.AZ, the Axios portal, citing informed sources, reports a tense incident between high-ranking officials.

It is noted that Musk and Bessent engaged in a "fierce argument within earshot" of President Donald Trump. The officials did not restrain their emotions while discussing the US tax service, and the situation became so heated that one of the aides had to intervene to separate the disputants.

It is claimed that there is serious tension between Musk and Bessent due to fundamentally different approaches to government administration. According to sources, Musk actively lobbied for another candidate for the position of Treasury Secretary, which ultimately went to Bessent. In turn, Bessent expresses dissatisfaction that Musk managed to promote his candidate for the position of head of the Tax Service.

Additionally, Bessent openly criticizes Musk for excessive promises and insufficient budget cuts handled by DOGE, while Musk reproaches Bessent for allegedly insufficient financial acumen.
