Italian Foreign Ministry: Iran was preparing to create 10 atomic bombs

Israel struck Iran due to intelligence data on Tehran's nuclear program

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to RIA Novosti, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani revealed details about the motives behind Israel's military operation during his speech in parliament dedicated to the escalating crisis in the Middle East.

"Foreign Minister (of Israel) Gideon Saar informed me that the decision to begin the operation was made based on precise intelligence about Tehran's nuclear and missile programs," Tajani stated. According to information shared by the Italian minister, Israeli intelligence determined that within the next six months, Iran could have obtained ten atomic bombs and an arsenal of more than 2,000 ballistic missiles.

Tajani emphasized that such a development poses a serious security threat not only to Israel but also to the entire region and the international community as a whole. To support his statement, he referenced a recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which condemns Iran for violating its uranium enrichment obligations.
