Iran signals readiness to reduce tensions with Israel and return to nuclear negotiations
As reported by TUT.AZ, the authoritative publication The Wall Street Journal, based on information from Middle Eastern and European officials, reports an unexpected diplomatic turn in the regional confrontation.
It is noted that even against the backdrop of continuing Israeli air attacks, Tehran has expressed interest in resuming the negotiation process through Arab intermediaries. Iran's key condition is the non-interference of the United States in the current conflict. Mediators are also instructed to convey to Israel the idea that de-escalation corresponds to the strategic interests of both states.
According to sources, the Iranian leadership seeks to avoid further escalation of the conflict, while maintaining the potential for retaliatory measures if necessary. It is worth recalling that Tehran consistently insists on the exclusively peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
Israel began operation "Rising Lion" on the night of June 13, directed against Iran's nuclear program. Less than a day later, the Islamic republic carried out a retaliatory attack. In the following days, Israel and Iran exchanged strikes again. Both sides reported casualties and wounded as a result of these attacks, acknowledged hits on a number of facilities on their territory, but stated that the damage was limited.
