Tragic accident in Turkey: collision between a minibus with schoolchildren and a truck claimed two lives

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Haber Global, a terrible accident involving a minibus carrying schoolchildren and a truck occurred in the Erdemli district of Turkey's Mersin province. As a result of the collision, two people died, one of whom was a child. Another 10 people received injuries of varying severity.

Emergency services immediately arrived at the scene of the tragedy: police officers, ambulance crews, and gendarmerie units.

All the injured were promptly delivered to the nearest medical facilities.

According to preliminary data, the cause of this tragic incident was that the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel.
