Court arrested apartment and car of accomplice to Crocus terrorists

Moscow's Basmanny Court arrested the property of the accused in the "Crocus City Hall" terrorist attack case

According to case materials obtained by TASS, the Basmanny Court of Moscow has imposed an arrest on real estate and a vehicle belonging to Almaz Kasimov, who is involved in the case regarding the tragedy at the concert complex.

The seized property includes an apartment in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, with a cadastral value of 7.7 million rubles, as well as a Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8 car. The court decision completely prohibits any operations with this property until the completion of investigative actions.

"The arrest was imposed to secure a civil lawsuit and possible confiscation of property," the court documents state.

The investigation considers Kasimov as an accomplice to the direct perpetrators of the terrorist act.

Earlier, on July 21, it became known that four defendants in the "Crocus" attack case appealed to the court with a petition to terminate the criminal prosecution against them.

As a reminder, the bloody tragedy at the "Crocus City Hall" concert venue unfolded on the evening of March 22, 2023. Just before the start of the "Piknik" band concert, armed attackers broke into the hall and opened random fire at the audience. This was followed by explosions in the building, after which a fire broke out. The victims of the horrific attack included 149 people, with another 609 suffering injuries of varying severity.

The perpetrators of the terrorist attack were detained in the Bryansk region the day after the attack while attempting to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border.
