TikTok introduces strict control: parents will be able to restrict content for teenagers

TikTok launches new parental control features to protect teenagers

Popular social network TikTok has announced the launch of a whole range of new features aimed at strengthening parental control, as reported by TechCrunch.

The key innovation is the Pairing option, which will create a direct connection between parent and teen accounts for 16-17 year olds to configure advanced security settings. Thanks to this new feature, parents will be able to block unwanted accounts that their child views. The system will also automatically send notifications to parents each time a teenager publishes a video, story, or photo in public access. According to TikTok representatives, this feature will provide parents with timely awareness of minors' publications, TechCrunch reports.

In addition, adult users will now be able to more effectively monitor privacy settings chosen by teenagers: check whether the young user has allowed others to download their content or configured the visibility of their subscription list.
