Five hidden threats in children's diet: expert warns about products dangerous for babies' health

Russian nutritionist Alla Porkhun revealed to RIA Novosti a list of products that can pose a serious danger to children's health. The "blacklist" includes treats and drinks common in many families.

The specialist warns: whole nuts and grapes are among the most common causes of choking in young children. Raw honey causes particular concern, which is absolutely contraindicated for babies under one year due to the high risk of botulism.

Carbonated drinks and energy drinks pose no less of a threat – their high content of sugar and caffeine not only destroys tooth enamel but also negatively affects the functioning of a child's nervous system.

Porkhun also drew attention to the danger of trans fats, which are abundant in cheap baked goods, fast food, and margarine. These substances contribute to increased cholesterol levels and provoke the development of chronic inflammatory processes in the body.
