At the CES 2026 exhibition, Yoona company presented the DeskMate robotic charging station, which combines the functions of a desktop charging hub and an AI assistant for iPhone. The device is positioned as a smart alternative to conventional accessories on the desktop.
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to The Verge publication, the key feature of DeskMate is that the station does not have its own screen, camera, or microphone, but relies entirely on the capabilities of the connected iPhone. The smartphone handles all calculations and communication with the user, while the station itself serves as a multifunctional charging device.
The innovative design of DeskMate provides the ability to rotate and tilt, ensuring that the iPhone screen is always directed at the user during interaction. Externally, the station is designed as a "living" character with animated eyes and offers a range of practical functions, including convenient integration with Slack messenger.
DeskMate's technical equipment is impressive: three USB-C ports, one USB-A and a MagSafe wireless charging pad for maximum user convenience.
The release of the device to the market is planned to be implemented through a crowdfunding platform, with the campaign launch scheduled for March. The manufacturer is keeping the cost of the innovative gadget a secret for now.
