Harmless habits that destroy dental health

Dentist revealed "invisible enemies" of dental health: which common habits destroy your smile

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Terra, well-known dentist Leonardo Achioli is sounding the alarm: what we do automatically every day can seriously undermine oral health. He considers nail biting, finger sucking, using toothpicks, chewing only on one side of the jaw, and using teeth as bottle openers to be dangerous habits. According to the specialist, these actions lead to catastrophic consequences: increased tooth fragility, premature enamel wear, serious bite disorders, inflammatory processes in the gums, and increased risk of infectious diseases.

Additionally, the dentist emphasized the importance of properly selecting oral care products. He explained that toothpastes with high abrasiveness and mouthwashes with high alcohol content can disrupt the balance of microflora and increase tooth sensitivity.
