Swiss nutritionist revealed unexpected health benefits of common beetroot. Vanessa Fürstenberger, in a conversation with the international publication Terra, named four key reasons why this affordable root vegetable should regularly appear on our table.

"Beetroot improves blood circulation, saturates the brain with oxygen, provides more energy for workouts and throughout the day, and also supports normal intestinal function," emphasized Fürstenberger.

According to the European expert, to achieve noticeable results, it is enough to include just half or one beetroot in your daily diet. The nutritionist also noted an important detail: after consuming this product, fecal matter and urine may acquire a reddish tint, which is a completely normal phenomenon and should not cause concern. At the same time, Fürstenberger cautioned: people prone to kidney stone formation should completely exclude beetroot from their menu.
