Flu vaccination becomes key to protecting the health of vulnerable citizens, emphasized a Moscow healthcare expert

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to News.Mail.ru, the chief freelance specialist in primary health care for the adult population of the Moscow Health Department, Andrey Tyazhelnikov, stated the critical importance of vaccination against influenza for people with chronic diseases and elderly citizens. These categories of the population are at increased risk of developing severe complications after suffering from the flu. "For people with chronic diseases and especially for the elderly, vaccination is not just a safe procedure, but a vital protective measure," the specialist emphasized during a press conference dedicated to current vaccination issues.

Tyazhelnikov also drew attention to the additional benefits of vaccines, noting their role in the prevention of non-infectious diseases. According to the expert, a modern approach to vaccination should be considered as a strategic investment in one's own health: timely vaccination provides protection not only from the influenza virus itself, but also prevents the development of potentially dangerous complications that may arise against the background of the disease.
