Tragedy at a wedding celebration: groom killed by celebratory gunshot in Turkey
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Anadolu, the happy day for newlyweds Beyzanur Beyazit and Ali Karacha turned into an irreparable tragedy. The couple was returning home after the wedding ceremony when a fatal bullet struck the groom. Law enforcement officers detained a suspect — a relative of the bride. During a search in the garden of the 47-year-old woman, two unregistered firearms were found.
Emergency services immediately arrived at the scene in the village of Turpchu in the Sebinkarahisar district. Despite prompt hospitalization to the state hospital with severe injuries, medical staff were unable to save Ali Karacha's life. The prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation into the incident. It is noted that the tradition of celebratory shooting during wedding celebrations still remains popular in the northern regions of Turkey.
