The ceasefire between Iran and Israel has officially come into effect. This was announced by US President Donald Trump on his Truth Social network.
"CEASEFIRE HAS COME INTO EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!" - wrote the American leader, using capital letters to emphasize the importance of the moment.
Earlier, the Iranian TV channel Press TV reported on the historic event. "The ceasefire regime has come into effect after four waves of Iranian attacks on Israeli territory," the channel's official statement said.
The day before, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had reached a truce agreement, which within 24 hours should transform into an "official end to the 12-day armed confrontation."
