Tom Cruise made it into the Guinness Book of Records

Tom Cruise sets world record: 16 jumps with a burning parachute during the filming of "Mission Impossible 8"

Legendary Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has officially entered the Guinness Book of Records, establishing an incredible achievement during work on the eighth part of the cult franchise "Mission Impossible." The action movie star received the prestigious title of "the person who made the most jumps with a burning parachute" - an astonishing 16 times.

Performing this extreme stunt, Cruise jumped from a helicopter with a parachute specially soaked in fuel, which was set on fire during the fall. The actor then cut away the flame-engulfed parts of the main parachute and deployed the reserve one. Such a risky achievement has not been replicated by any other actor or even professional stuntman in the world.

"Tom doesn't just play action heroes - he is an action hero! Much of his success is explained by the fact that he pays enormous attention to authenticity and pushes the boundaries of what a lead actor can do. It is a great honor for us to recognize his absolute fearlessness with this new title," says the official statement on the Guinness Book of Records website.
