US and Europe developed military plans to support peace negotiations on Ukraine

TUT.AZ reports this with reference to the press service of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces.

"The Chiefs of General Staff of the US, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Finland, Ukraine, as well as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO held a meeting in Washington on August 19-20. The Chiefs of General Staff developed options for actions in the military sphere to support negotiations and ensure lasting peace in Europe," the joint written statement of the parties says.

It is noted that these options will be presented to the national security advisors of each involved country for proper consideration in the process of ongoing diplomatic efforts, and planning and communication will continue as negotiations on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine proceed.

The document does not specify what exactly these action options entail.
