Kirill Dateshidze, familiar to many viewers for his role in the cult series "Streets of Broken Lights," as well as known as a talented theater director and teacher, has died at the age of 79. The sad news was reported by his students from the "K.L. Dateshidze Workshop."

In recent years, Kirill Dateshidze courageously battled cancer. In February 2025, the artist's condition sharply deteriorated, and his students organized a fundraiser for their mentor's treatment. Despite all efforts, it was not possible to save the master's life.

"Thank you to everyone who supported and helped not only with the treatment but also our workshop. Both with kind words and actions. He continues to live in each of us," says the touching message from Dateshidze's students.
