The son of the USSRs most bloody serial killer Chikatilo was killed during combat in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Son of the infamous USSR maniac Andrei Chikatilo died in battles in Kharkiv region, Ukraine is preparing a posthumous award

According to SHOT, Yuri Chikatilo, the son of one of the most brutal serial killers of the Soviet era, had been listed as missing for the past 8 months. He served in an artillery unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces when his group came under heavy artillery fire from Russian troops 20 kilometers from Kharkiv. For a long time, Yuri was on the list of missing persons, but was recently recognized as "heroically fallen." Currently, Ukrainian authorities are planning to posthumously award him the Order "For Courage" II degree.

It is known that Yuri Chikatilo joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the beginning of the special military operation. After serving his last prison sentence in Russia, he moved to Kharkiv, where he changed his surname to Miroshnichenko — his wife's maiden name. The decision to go to the front was related to legal problems — in Ukraine, he was wanted by law enforcement agencies and bailiffs due to significant debts in alimony, loans, and fines for traffic violations. Recall that his father, Andrei Chikatilo, who committed 53 murders, was executed on February 14, 1994.
