Historic Dialogue: Putin and Trump Will Begin Negotiations in Alaska with a Personal One-on-One Meeting

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to RIA Novosti, the long-awaited meeting of the leaders of the two world powers will be held in a narrow format - only the presidents and interpreters. The public was informed about this by the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov. According to him, the negotiations will take place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage. The start of this crucial diplomatic meeting is scheduled for August 15 at 11:30 local time (22:30 Moscow time).

The Russian side at the negotiations will be represented by an impressive delegation of high-ranking officials: Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.

Yuri Ushakov specifically noted that the timeframe for these strategically important negotiations will be determined by the dynamics of the dialogue between the presidents of Russia and the United States.
