"Miss England" Milla Magee refused to participate in the prestigious "Miss World" contest due to degrading treatment
The current "Miss England" Milla Magee made an unexpected decision not to represent her country at one of the most prestigious international beauty pageants "Miss World." This sensational turn of events was reported by the reputable publication The Independent.
Initially, the contest organizers explained Magee's absence as due to personal circumstances. However, soon the beauty queen herself decided to reveal the shocking truth – the reason for her refusal was systematic humiliation and disrespectful treatment of participants by the event organizers.
The last straw for Milla Magee was an evening where contestants were seated at tables with middle-aged men – sponsors of "Miss World." The young women were required to entertain these men throughout the entire event. "Because of this, I felt like a prostitute," the British beauty candidly admitted.
It's worth noting that "Miss World" is the oldest of the "big four" international beauty pageants, which also include "Miss Universe," "Miss Earth," and "Miss International." The first contest was held in Great Britain in 1951.
The final of this year's "Miss World" contest is scheduled for May 31 and will take place in India.
