The meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Iran has begun in Yerevan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ceremoniously welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who arrived in Yerevan on his first official visit

According to Armenian media, the ceremonial reception of the distinguished guest took place at the official residence of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

Sources report that after the official part, an expanded meeting with the participation of delegations from both countries is planned, which will conclude with joint statements by the leaders to press representatives.

The President of Iran arrived in Armenia the day before. Before departure, Pezeshkian identified the main topic of his visit — discussing the prospects of the "North-South" transport corridor. The Iranian leader also noted the importance of the "East-West" route as a potential platform for developing trade relations.

During the negotiations, issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in key areas will be considered: energy, transport, investment, healthcare, and tourism, emphasized the President of Iran.
