In a conversation with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation around French President Emmanuel Macron being discussed in the media, emphasizing that public discussion of family matters is unacceptable.

"If a wife slaps her husband - she, as a rule, doesn't do it without reason. But we should not interfere in this," — Peskov stated, making it clear that the private life of the Macron couple should remain outside the field of public attention.
