The European Union made a concerning decision for Ukraine

EU will reduce financial aid to Ukraine due to unfulfilled reforms. This was announced by European Commission representative Guillaume Mercier, reports TUT.AZ with reference to "European Truth".

According to the information, instead of the planned 4.5 billion euros (approximately 5.2 billion dollars), Ukraine will receive only 3.05 billion euros (about 3.5 billion dollars) as part of the fourth tranche of the Ukraine Facility mechanism. The European Commission recognized only 13 out of 16 necessary reforms as completed and sent a corresponding proposal to the EU Council.

As it turned out, the Ukrainian side has not completed three key reforms: in the area of decentralization, reforming the National Agency for Asset Recovery and Management, and the procedure for selecting judges for the High Anti-Corruption Court.

Earlier, Member of the European Parliament from Denmark Christel Schaldemose warned Ukraine that non-compliance with standards in the work of anti-corruption structures could seriously undermine the country's prospects for joining the European Union and jeopardize further financial support from the bloc.
