Powerful earthquake shook the coast of Chile: magnitude 5.4 recorded
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported significant underground tremors off the coast of Chile, reports TUT.AZ.
According to seismologists, the epicenter of the natural phenomenon was located 50 kilometers southwest of the city of Ovalle, where about 77,100 people live. The earthquake's focus was at a depth of 14 kilometers below the earth's surface.
At the current moment, there is no information about injured, dead, or infrastructure damage. Specialists have also not issued warnings about a possible tsunami threat.
