State of emergency declared in Kamchatka after powerful earthquake

The Governor of Kamchatka Krai has signed an order to introduce a state of emergency in several settlements of the region, reports the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"In accordance with the order of the Governor of Kamchatka Krai, a 'State of Emergency' regime has been introduced in connection with the strong seismic event that occurred on 07/30/2025 and the need to assess the condition of buildings and structures," the message states.
