Tragic news: famous figure skating commentator Alexander Grishin passed away at 47

"Yes, I confirm that he died. I cannot say anything more," said Grishin's wife Anastasia in a comment to "RIA Novosti Sport".

"He died as a result of an accident on a railway platform during heavy rain," the commentator's wife told TASS in an interview.

In recent years, Alexander Grishin was the voice of figure skating on Channel One, where he commented on all significant competitions, including the Olympic Games.

Grishin's professional path began on the "Sport" TV channel, where he worked from 2004 to 2015. This was followed by a period at "Match TV" from 2015 to 2018. Throughout his career, the talented commentator covered several Olympic Games, World and European Football Championship matches, as well as international figure skating tournaments. From 2018, Alexander Grishin became part of the Channel One team.
